I'd Hit That

Hilarious.

Please. Someone buy this. And then tell me the result of wearing it.

An Awesome Summer Cocktail

Currently sipping on this amazing strawberry basil cocktail that is apparently known as the Strawberry Shag. You MUST stop what you're doing and make this immediately.

Thanks, Amelia, for the great find!

Cheers to Friday!

Part Two of Pop It Like It's Hot

While I am compiling a good amount of pops pics (say that three times fast), I had to just stop and blog this amazing peelable popsicle that Allison found.

Isn't it the most, to say the least? Too bad it's only in Hong Kong. And apparently tastes like grape and vanilla. Technicalities. It's still awesome.

An Awesomely Honest Series

I have two very close friends who had babies in the last two weeks, (yay, Katie and Anne!) and learned of two other very close friends' pregnancies in the last week (shh!), and love that many of you dear readers are mommas trying to balance it all. One of my favorite bloggers and working mom herself, Joanna from A Cup of Jo, put together a lovely series of working mom bloggers discussing their challenge of finding BALANCE.

I had a great talk with my mom last night about balance. It's something I completely lost in the last year and have finally found a bit more lately. But it's so interesting to me to think that whether you are 16 or 30 or 45 or 65, it's something we all (maybe women moreso? I think that's fair) are constantly seeking.

Have a look at the series, which also links to some great blogs you may not already follow.

I enjoyed it and hope you will, too!

Back to work. (ugh, balancing blogs and work...lame...kidding.)

Seen a ton of these but they never get old. Preach!

Part One of Pop It Like It's Hot

It's hot. 17 days now over 100 here in the Big D. So, while my year-round choice for food is truly anything on a stick, in the summatime, it better be frozen on the other end. Since Mr. Awesome and I are on a mission to eat healthier, I picked up these Healthy Bunch pops, including the 10 calorie Creamsicles, which I loved.

There are a million Popsicle brand pops and I've been hearing great things about the Jolly Rancher pops, which will be next on the list. Over the next few days, I will feature some great recipes for DIY pops, but in the meantime, check out Old Sweet Song Amy's post on pops.

Oh, and if you love the taste of Creamsicles and "don't DO sugar free," how adorbs are these Creamsicle Sandwich Cookies I spotted over on a new blog find, Baked Perfection?!

Even though I don't even like the consistency, anything with sprinkles on top, I can dig.

Enjoy!

Dear Photograph

This might be so last week, but have y'all seen Dear Photograph? This site is so cool. Pretty self-explanatory. Hold your old photo in front of the same setting and write a caption. This site can easily take me away for a good hour or two. So fun and poignant! Here are a few great ones.

I will try this myself and share my dear photograph(s) with you.

Happy Monday!

Awesome Summer Treat

I'm putting together what I must say is a beautiful post about popsicles, but in the meantime, had to share in my delight that AAAD Reader Sara was oh-so right when she said that I must try the new Skinny Cow ice cream bars.

I went for the caramel truffle kind at the grocery store tonight and OMG these are great! I've been eating my weight in fruit-flavored fro-yo but these are definitely hitting the chocolate spot and still make them a swimsuit-season worthy treat. Enjoy!
