An Awesome Gift Idea

Happy Friday my friends! High of 73 here today. Amazing. I am thrilled to share with you some of the awesome embroidery designs by my dear friend, AAAD Reader Sara. Sara is a new mom and has obviously been making the most of her time during her adorable son Jacob's naptime. I love the Valentine's onesie she made for him!

These are obviously adorable for burb cloths, bibs, onesies, bloomers, but also as housewarming gifts or engagements presents - dish towels, cocktail napkins, the sky is the limit!

Here's her cutie patootie in a Thanksgiving getup.

If you're interested in custom gifts, email Sara at sara.f.gail@gmail.com.

Hot Topic

I'm wearing this shirt today.

It's pretty effin' awesome, and true, after my bombass lunch at Torchy's Tacos. Pairing it with a grey and white Old Navy striped party cardi, of course some American Eagle skinnys and these red flats.

I got it at Hot Topic. They actually have some awesome tees and loads of knee-high socks. Yes, I'm 17.

High Tops, High Style

I was lucky enough to get to spend the weekend with my BFF Katie and her family, who created a lovely baby shower for a relative that I can't wait to share. Katie is more stylish without trying every time I see her. You might remember me mentioning her red Vans sneakers and how I immediately stole slash adopted those into my own wardrobe. Shockingly enough, her latest sneaker is one I did not see coming into my closet so easily. She had skinny jeans rolled up just hitting the perfect height on her classic black Converse high-tops.

Now, I have shied away from Converse since everyone and their hipster uncle at my office and really everywhere has them, but I really rarely see the high-tops and they looked so fetch on an adorable girl who made them her own.

So now I am stealing them. Probably in red.

Possibly brown.

I would have never thought I'd be into this, but seeing is/was believing.

Finally, no matter what happens in this world, one thing we can all count on is that my nephew (and probably every child I will ever buy a present for) will be getting THESE AWESOME SHOES IMMEDIATELY IF NOT SOONER.

Styling.

Pop Pop Pop It Up

Over the weekend, I had brunch with friends at Breadwinner's. We were ogling their homemade pop tarts while waiting for our table. Then I mentioned that brilliant idea to my gourmet friends over the weekend which got us all wondering how the dough doesn't rise higher. I didn't think much more of it until Pablo just sent this great site, FoodGawker, and it's most favorited all-time recipes, which included a link for this very idea on page 1.

I am dying for this recipe that actually looks doable, as well as all of the amazing foodstuffs I just drooled over. I can't wait to make my own and stuff these babies with all sorsta ingredients. YUM!!

Its Raining Boots

Funny, I have had a post ready to go that features some cute rain boots from around the interwebs, and then this $15 rain boot promo for Charlotte Russe happens. Um, THESE ARE CUTE! There are so many cute rain boots out there that there's really no excuse to not make your feet smile on a rainy day. Here are some favorites of mine, plus all the rest on sale for the next three days.

Um, these are sunny yellow, and have a zipper. Yes and Yes!

Love these lace-up ones. I have some like this and feel a scoatch firegirl in it, but whatever. Everyone loves a fireperson in uniform.

Polka dot and a great color combo.

If these don't strike your fancy or you need a half size, I'm loving these from Old Navy and they are under $30.

Target also of course has its fair share. Well aren't these adorable?

Anchor's Away!

There are literally rain boots in every color and pattern you can imagine. I was happy to just learn about these fleece boot liners, which have great ratings and seem to quite nicely winterize your rain boots. Definitely trying these out.

All of this boot talk reminds me of the adorable way my friend Melissa announced her pregnancy. So adorbs.

Cute to Boot!
